About us

We are a Dutch-Italian couple. Cornelis is a professional sculptor (see also www.cornelisrijken.com) and I am a communication consultant.

Our passion for nature and old stone hourses took us in 2006 to Porcaticcio di Sopra, a big mansion abandoned for many years. We fell in love with the place right away and we decided to start our project of restauration. Giving new life to Porcaticcio is a great satisfaction and now we like to share our paradise with our guests.

Two beloved animals are living with us: Bacio, a lively and very intelligent border collie and Flick, our pretty cat.
